HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered three seasons in cross country and track Chapin High School in El Paso, Texas … As a senior, was eighth in the 800 meters and seventh in the 1,600 meters at the UIL 4A Region 1 & UIL 5A-Region 1 meet … During her junior season was second in the UIL-5A-District 1 meet, along with a 34^th place in the UIL1A-6A Region 1 championship and a 72^nd place in the UIL state championship …  At the UIL 5A District 1 meet was third in the 800 meters and 1,600 meters.
