MEN’S BASKETBALL: Charleston road trip begins Thursday; Terriers at home Monday night!
The Wofford men’s basketball team, winners of three straight, face a tough weekend road swing to the coast as they battle The Citadel Thursday at 7:00 pm and College of Charleston Saturday at 3:00 pm.

A few interesting stats about this year’s team emerged this week. Seniors Brad Loesing and Kevin Giltner are both in the Top 10 in the NCAA in minutes played per game.  Loesing is tops in the nation at 39.0 MPG with Giltner 8th at 37.7 – needless to say they are both 1 and 2 in the SoCon in that category.  Another senior, Drew Crowell, is currently leading the SoCon in Field Goal Percentage at 61.5%.

Catch Saturday’s game at CofC on the SoCon TV Network which is available in South Carolina on the digital tier South Carolina Channel, in Georgia on GPB Knowledge (digital) and in North Carolina on UNC-TV Explorer (digital).  The contest can be seen over-the-air as well in Chattanooga and Birmingham and nationally on ESPN3. Check your local listings.

Mascot Mania 2011
Wofford returns to the Benjamin Johnson Arena Monday at 7:00 pm to face Western Carolina as part of back-to-back home doubleheaders.  Monday’s game is presented by the Spartanburg Marriott and will be Mascot Mania Monday with what is shaping up to be an unforgettable round of “mascot musical chairs.”

Over a dozen mascots including Boss the Terrier and his younger cousin the Boston Pup will participate plus the Greenville Drive’s Reedy Rip It, the Greenville Road Warriors Rowdy the Road Hog and mascots representing McDonald’s, Papa John’s, Firehouse Subs, Spartanburg Methodist College, Chick-Fil-A, Zaxby’s and WestGate Mall.

On February 4, the men’s team will be game one of the doubleheader as they tip with Samford at 2:00 pm followed by the women against Chattanooga at 6pm.  Please see the graphic below for more information on our “Pack the House Pink” ticket special available for this game.
