2010-11 Schedule
SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- Wofford’s women’s basketball head coach Edgar Farmer Jr. has announced his team’s 2010-2011 schedule. The 28-game schedule for the Terriers includes a road trip to the ACC’s Virginia Tech and a home game against the Patriot League’s Bucknell.
We are looking forward to our nonconference as it prepares us for Southern Conference play,” Farmer said. “I am excited about the journey through the conference as we build towards the conference tournament on March 4th.”
The Terriers will open the season November 12th in the Ben Johnson Arena against Gardner Webb out of the Big South. Following the trip to Va. Tech on November 14th the Terriers begin a three-game homestand. To start the homestand Wofford will host Campbell out of the Atlantic Sun Conference on November 17th and will end the stand with UNC-Wilmington out of the Colonial Athletic Association on November 24th.
A trip to Norfolk State on November 27th and Bucknell at home on December 21st will be the final games before the heavy Southern Conference schedule begins.
Wofford opens conference play with the Southern Division’s Georgia Southern on December 1st. January 2nd will begin the complete conference schedule when the Terriers will travel to UT-Chattanooga.
Overall the Terriers will play 20 Southern Conference games, a home-and-home series with each team in both divisions of the conference.
Wofford will play their final home game of the season on February 21st against Western and will end the regular season with a game at Davidson on February 27.
Southern Conference Tournament action will begin March 4th at UT-Chattanooga’s McKenzie Arena.
